Release Notes

The girls have become quite fond of a computer game called Minecraft.

Occasionally they'll update the game to fix bugs and add new things to it, usually accompanied by notes detailing all of the changes in the new release.

So, Ella and Lucy download the update, and begin reading out loud:
" added ocelots!  ... added cats!  ... now tame wolves can have puppies!?!?!"

It's a proud Geek Dad moment when you realize your girls are getting all excited over reading release notes for a computer game.

Heartfelt Thanks

Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you so much for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers. We are so lucky to have such great people in our lives.
We're moving forward with our healing, body and mind, and hope to be back to posting about our adventures soon.

State Fair

In early Fall we visited the State Fair.
Highlights included:

1. A show pigeon that Ella named Marshmallow that she became so attached to we had to return to the exhibit to tell her goodbye.

2. Pony rides.

3. A ferris wheel ride just after the rain.

4. And Beauty Queens in the bathroom!



We were washing our hands, and in walked these two lovely young ladies. Ella and Lucy stood there with their mouths hanging open, in complete awe. The Queens were so nice to them and even wanted a picture taken with their camera. I just love that they would do that in a semi-clean State Fair bathroom. It totally made the girls' day.

Dancing Stars

One night while watching the TV program Dancing with the Stars


Lucy: Mom, you should be on this dancing show.

Mom: That would be a lot of fun, but unfortunately I'm not a star.

Lucy: But it's called Dancing WITH the Stars!

Money Market

While we were driving in the car today, Lucy asked.... "money market... what's that!?"  Once again we've entered a time when we're going to have to do a lot of explaining of billboards.

And tonight, Lucy read the evening's story to me (because I still have a bit of a cough). 

She's a smart one, that Lucy.

Cause for Concern?

After playing downstairs with Ella.

Lucy: “Daddy, don’t come downstairs. Just stay upstairs and spend time with Mom.”

Mark: “Why don’t you want me to come downstairs?”

Lucy: “Um some people, I mean, I just . . . well . . . there’s a . . . I don’t know what to say. You don’t have to go down there. Just stay up and spend time with Mom.

Of course Mark went downstairs. Oddly enough there really wasn’t any reason to go downstairs . . . that we saw.
But I do like the fact that she wants us to have quality time together.

First Top Tooth Lost

Hiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just lost my first top tooth! Sorry for all the delay this time I had TONS of fun things happening at school. But the delay is over now! Because I lost my tooth!




I also am happy that I soon will see aunt Lynne and Molly!
P.S I lost my tooth at school.
