Say Cheese

Here is Ella the first time she was given cheese. (Really it's the second time, but this is the first time it actually made it into her mouth.)

As you can see it wasn't a rousing favorite. However, third time being a charm, she will now eat cheese and not gag or make yucky faces . . . much.

Teething Tribulations

Ella likes to keep things interesting.
Ella's third tooth was not one of her top front teeth, like all the baby books I read informed me would happen. No, it is the next tooth over. Right now she looks like a cute little jack-o-lantern - - soon to be a vampire.

Yes, her 4th tooth will be the second one over, on the other side! It just broke through her gums today. And no sign of her front teeth yet.

Sorry, there are no pictures of her fangs at this time. I can't get her to open her mouth wide enough while the camera is around. But here she is cutting those pearly whites on the lens cap.

Ella is quite certain she can pick up secret alien transmissions on her baby monitor.

Places To Go And Things To Chew On...

Someone, who shall remain nameless, has begun to achieve Baby Locomotion under her own power, across hardwood floors. This was after *one quick lesson* I gave her. She was holding her hands out in front of her, so I held her hands down lightly. She pulled forward. A couple more assisted pulls later, she was cruising around walrus-style with amazing (and slightly alarming) speed.

Apparently, all it takes is a little motivation, in the form of various shiny objects (like Daddy's glasses).

Up next: carpeted floors!
