Bless the Beasts (and the Bugs)

Ella has gotten into the habit of naming all our family members at the end of our dinner blessing. This includes ALL pets, even those of the bug variety, whether they are still with us or not. We’ve had quite a lot of turn over lately, so the prayer is getting mighty long.

“Please bless Mommy, Daddy, Lucy, me, Princess Fishy, Inchy, Rolly, Polly, Wormy, and Squirmy Wormy.”

With Summer not even really started yet, I have the feeling this list is going to get mighty long.

Ella: I would like to go to Russia some day.

Daddy: That would be great. We've never been to Russia. But Mommy and Daddy have been to a lot of other places. Like France, Germany, Ireland . . .

Mommy: . . . Japan, Thailand, Lichtenstein . . .

Lucy: And Costco!!
