The (Non)Professional

Generally speaking, I'm pretty good at getting elastics out of the girls' hair, even when they're a bit snarled up in their hair.

However, the other night, we encountered a pretty nasty tangle in Ella's hair.

Ella: "...I guess this is going to mean a late-night trip to Aunt Caryn's."
(Aunt Caryn is the usual cutter of her hair.)

Dad: "Hold on a second, I'll be right back..."

Dad (returning with scissors): "Okay, here we go." (Getting ready to cut)

Ella (frightfully and indignantly): "Dad, what are you doing!? YOU'RE NOT A PROFESSIONAL!"
